🐾 Harness Dilemma: Classic Y or Escape-Proof?

🐶 Wondering whether your pup needs regular Y-harnesses or escape-proof ones? We’re here to help! 🚀

A lot of people ask whether dogs can easily slip out of our classic Y-harnesses.

The answer is: if the harness is fitted correctly — absolutely not!

They’re designed to end right where the dog’s chest starts to narrow, ensuring a snug fit that’s hard to wriggle out of.

Our little Italian Greyhound has been using these harnesses for years — and believe us, he’s a master at panicking and pulling away when he gets scared. 😅

But not once has he managed to escape from them! (Unlike with other harnesses, unfortunately.)

That said, if you want 100% peace of mind that your dog won't slip out, then our escape-proof harnesses are a great choice.

They feature an extra strap under the belly, which prevents even the most agile greyhound-ninja from sneaking out.

This third strap doesn’t cause any discomfort when the leash is pulled, since you clip the leash at the front of the chest — it’s simply an extra safety feature.

For the perfectionists out there: our classic Y-harnesses are more stable and stay in place beautifully without shifting.

The escape-proof harnesses, due to their longer length, may shift slightly to one side if your dog pulls hard in one direction.

But no worries — as soon as your dog walks straight again, the harness adjusts and sits nicely back in place.

Our pup, Jogi, has been wearing the escape-proof model for a while now — and even though the classic Y-harness would be enough for him, we keep choosing the escape-proof version... because he looks absolutely stunning in it! 🥰✨ It really highlights his elegant silhouette.
